FAQs

1. What does Ho-Ri mean?

Ho-Ri is short for Honey and Rice. These two ingredients are the foundation of our products.

    2. Where are we from?

    We are based in Singapore.

    3. Why are the products not consistent (i.e. colour, scent, texture, etc.)?

Our products are made-to-order in small batches. Hence, the colour, scent, and texture, etc. may differ slightly.

    4. Why do some of your products contain preservatives and some do not?

Preservatives are only used in our water-based products or products that may be in contact with water (e.g. scrubs), except for our soap bar. When water is present, there is a possibility of mold and bacterial growth which can cause the oils and butter in the products to go rancid and smells.
Our soap bars do not contain preservatives. This is because it has a high pH level that doesn’t allow mold or bacteria growth.

    5. Do you test on animals?

We love animals hence we do not believe in testing our products on them. Our products are tested on real people.

    6. Are Ho-Ri Skin products safe for sensitive skin?

Our products are formulated with a pH range of 5 to 7. Everyone’s skin is different, we recommend you do a patch test before using our products.

    7. What is the shelf-life of your products?

The shelf-life of Ho-Ri Skin products varies. Please refer to the PAO (period after opening) symbol printed on the labels to find out the shelf-life. For example, you may notice there is a specific number next to the letter M (i.e. 3M, 12M, etc). This will tell you how many months the product will stay fresh after it’s been opened.
We recommend keeping your products in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.

    8. Can I use Ho-Ri Skin products during pregnancy?

You should consult your gynae before using our products to ensure that they are aligned with your pregnancy plans.

    9. Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship within Singapore. Please write to us via our Contact Us page for overseas shipping inquiries.
